The competition is organized by the Scientific Complex of the Holy Quran at the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine, represented by the Center for Printing the Holy Quran.
Sayed Nabil al-Sharifi, a member of the judging committee of the competition, said that "the ten calligraphers participating in the Thaqalayn Prize competition for the calligraphy of the Holy Quran, finished the calligraphy of one page of the Holy Quran and put the finishing touches, and the judging committee will determine the first winner of the competition after all the participations are presented to it".
"The first winner will be announced tomorrow, Friday, at the closing ceremony of the competition, honoring the other calligraphers with shields and certificates of appreciation, as well as honoring the well-known calligraphers,"he added.
The Thaqalayn prize for calligraphy of the Holy Quran competition is the first of its kind at the local level and the Islamic world, with the participation of a group of great calligraphers from different spectrums of the Iraqi people.
